Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and crushed by hazards: On or about July 18, 2007, at a construction site at 1275 Freeport Parkway, Coppell, TX 75019, inadequate cribbing under the outriggers of a Putzmeister, 52Z-Meter concrete pump created a tipping hazard. Employees were exposed to being struck-by the boom or the body of the concrete pump. Among other method, at least one feasible means of abatement includes but is not limited to: Comply with the required method of cribbing the outrigger feet in the concrete pump operating manual, page 5-23, using 6in x 6in timber blocks each of the length shown on page 5-24.
