Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to falling from heights:
Date: On or about 1/11/2007
Location: 901 Rockford Creek Road, Clarkesville, GA 30528
Condition: Employee was observed working from an elevated work platform
approximately 32
feet above ground level on a Skytrak Telehandlers Rough Terrain Forklift
Truck without a
personal fall arrest system or guardrail system.
Among other means, one feasible and acceptable abatement method would be
to provide a
platform which complies with the design requirements listed in the
American Society of
Mechanical Engineers B56.6-1992 Section 5.15 Elevating Personnel.
No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
