Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falls: (a) Location - Aisle 15: On or about 3/16/06, an employee was exposed to falls while standing on a milk crate to change prices on shelves. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means to correct this hazard is to provide and enforce the use of stepladders or step stools manufactured for the purpose of stocking shelves and/or pricing merchandise.
