Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not
furnish employment and place of employment which were free from recognized
hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to the condition(s) listed below:
On or about February 8, 2006, warehouse (furniture area); an order picker
truck operator
fell approximately 5 feet due to not wearing a body harness while
operating the truck.
A feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be
to ensure truck
operators wear harnesses while operating the high lift truck.
