Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm: On or about September 7, 2006, the employer did not ensure the emergency escape device line was anchored to a point that was capable of withstanding at least 3000 pounds of force. The company is using a 55 gallon drum filled with concrete that is set at a location with the emergency escape device line tied to the drum that is laying in the field beyond the pad.
