Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At archives area an employee was stand above a chair to reach the expedients that was above the files. The employee was exposed to falls. One feasible and abatement method among others to correct the hazards can be provide a ladder to reach the files height or supply new files to avoid the accumulation of expedients above the files. En el area de archivo una empleada se encontraba parada sobre una silla para poder alcanzar unos expedientes que se encontraban sobre los archivos. La empleada fue expuesta a camdas. Un metodo viable entre otros metodos que se puede utilizar para corregir los riesgos existentes es proveer una escalera para alcanzar la altura de los archivos o proveer nuevos archivos para evitar la acumulacion de expedientes sobre los archivos existentes.
