Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by the equipment and eye strain Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no the grid. En el lado oeste del proyecto un empleado estaba utilizando una excavadora Daewoo modelo Solar 220LC - III. El patrono le instalo al equipo una rejilla sustituyendo el cristal de la cabina. La rejilla tenia agujeros de 1" x 3/4" y dificultaba la visibilidad. Un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir estos riesgos entre otros podria ser la instalacion del cristal recomendado por el manufacturero y removerle la rejilla.
