Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the "Camuy Health Services" in Camuy, were found the air conditioner
system damage in
the following areas:
a- Emergency Room Lobby and Pediatric area
b- Laboratory
c- File Room
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is that the
employer replace or repair the air conditioner system.
Hazard: Employees were exposed to respiratory illnesses such as: asthma,
bronchitis and heat
stress.
En el "Camuy Health Center" en Camuy, se encontro el sistema
acondicionador de aire danado
en las siguientes areas:
a- En el area de Emergencias en la sala de espera y en el area Pedriatica
b- Laboratorio
c- Cuarto de Archivo
Entre otros metodos un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir estos
riesgos es que el patrono
reemplace o repare los sistemas acondicionadores de aire.
Hazards: Empleados estaban expuestos a enfermedades respiratorias tales
como: asma,
bronquitis; estresor emocional y estresor de calor.
