Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to lack of knowledge of the handling of domestic violence
situations in the workplace:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a falta de conocimiento para el manejo de situaciones de violencia
domestica en su area de
trabajo:
The Frito Lay company did not provide training to the employees in
Barceloneta, related to the
written protocol for the handling of domestic violence in the workplace
which is required by the
Act for the Implementation of a Protocol to Handle Domestic Violence
Situations
in the
Workplace or Place of Employment, Act No. 217 of September 29, 2006.
La compania Frito Lay no proveyo adiestramiento a los empleados en
Barceloneta, relacionado
al protocolo escrito para el manejo de violencia domestica en el lugar de
trabajo que es requerido
por la Ley para la Implantacion de un Protocolo para Manejar Situaciones
de Violencia
Domestica en Lugares de Trabajo o Empleo, Ley Num. 217 del 29 de
septiembre de 2006.

In the company Frito Lay in Barceloneta were observed that the extraction
system was
not operating at its capacity because in areas such as cooking area there
were high
temperatures such as 103 degrees Fahrenheit approximately.
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is that
the employer fix the extraction system.
En la compania Frito Lay en Barceloneta se observo que el sistema de
extraccion no
estaba funcionando a su capacidad debido que en areas tales como el area
de coccion se
observaron temperaturas altas aproximadamente 103 grados Fahrenheit.
Entre otros metodos un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir esos
riesgos es que el
patrono arregle el sistema de extraccion.
