employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At Administracion de Correccion in the psychosocial unit in Vega Alta, the
employees entered
to this area to give health services to the patients with mental and
psychological problems. The
ceiling had crevices and the employer put a jack to prevent the ceiling
bringing down.
One feasible and acceptable abatement method among others, to correct this
hazard is to perform
a structural study of the area by a professional engineer.
En la Administracion de Correccion en la unidad sicosocial en Vega Alta,
los empleados
entraban a esta area para dar servicios de salud a los pacientes con
problemas mentales y
sicologicos. El techo interior tenia grietas y el patrono puso un gato
para prevenir que el techo
interior se baje.
Un metodo de correccion viable y aceptable entre otros, para corregir este
riesgo es realizar
un estudio estructural en esta area por un ingeniero profesional.

La Administracion de Correccion did not provide training to his employees
related to the
establishment written protocol for the handling of domestic violence in
the workplace, as
required by the Act for the Implementation of a Protocol to Handle
Domestic Violence Situations
in the Workplace or Place of Employment, Act No. 217 of 2006.
Hazard: Fatalities, injuries, and illnesses related to domestic violence
in the workplace.
Method to abate the hazard: Employers shall provide training to all the
establishment's
employees related to its written protocol for the handling of domestic
violence in the workplace
La Administracion de Correccion no habia provisto adiestramiento a sus
empleados
relacionado al establecimiento de un protocolo escrito para el manejo de
violencia
en el lugar de trabajo como requerido por la Ley para la Implementacion de
un Protocolo para
Manejar las Situaciones de Violencia Domestica en el lugar de trabajo o
Sitio de Empleo,
num 217 del 2006.
Riesgo: Muertes, lesiones y enfermedades relacionadas a la violencia
domestica en el
trabajo.
Metodo de correccion de riesgo: El patrono debe proveer un adiestramiento
para todos los
empleados del establecimiento relacionados a su protocolo escrito para el
manejo de violencia
domestica en el lugar de trabajo.
