Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At National Lumber in Manati, there was a truck used to carry construction materials to clients. The driver have to climb on the truck platform to load and unload materials. The platform had a hole. Hazard: fall One feasible and acceptable abatement method among others, to correct this hazard is to weld a piece of metal to cover the hole or replace the platform. En National Lumber en Manati, habia un camion usado para llevar materiales de construccion a los clientes. El chofer tenia que treparse en la plataforma del camion para cargar y descargar los materiales. La plataforma tenia un hueco. Riesgo: caida Un metodo viable y aceptable de correccion entre otros para corregir este riesgo es soldar un pedazo de metal para cubrir el hueco o reemplazar la platforma.
