Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
In the office of "Documentos Publicos" of the municipal government of Vega
Baja, were
the employees performed their duties such as; archive and search
documents. The
following conditions were observed:
a)The air conditioning system was damage
b)Poor ventilation
c)Leaks and roof filtrations
Among other method one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is that the
employer repair the air conditioning system and the roof filtrations.
En la Oficina de Documentos Publicos del gobierno municipal de Vega Baja se
observaron los  empleados realizando sus funciones tales como; archivar y
buscar
documentos.  Las siguientes condiciones fueron observadas:
a)El sistema de aire acondicionado estaba danado
b)Poca ventilacion.
c)Liqueos y filtraciones en el techo.
Entre otros metodos un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir esos
riesgos es que el
patrono arregle el sistema de aire acondicionado y las filtraciones en el

Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to lack of knowledge of the handling of domestic violence
situations in the workplace:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a falta de conocimiento para el manejo de situaciones de violencia
domestica en su area de
trabajo:
The employer "Municipio de Vega Baja" did not provide training to his
employees related to the
establishment's written protocol for the handling of domestic violence in
the workplace, as
required by Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health
Act, Act No. 16 of
1975.
Hazard: Fatalities, injuries, and illnesses related to domestic violence
in the workplace.
Method to abate the hazard: Employers shall provide training to all the
establishment's
employees related to its written protocol for the handling of domestic
violence in the workplace.
El patrono Municipio de Vega Baja no proveyo adiestramiento del protocolo
escrito para el
manejo de la violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo que es requerido
por la Seccion 6(a) de
la ley 16 de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional.
Riesgo:Muerte, lesiones y enfermedades relacionadas con la violencia
domestica en el lugar de
trabajo
Metodo para disminuir el riesgo:El Municipio debera proveer adiestramiento
a todas las
dependencias y empleados relacionados con su protocolo escrito para el
manejo de la violencia
domestica.
