which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to a fall hazard:
On or about 04/10/06:
a) Nicholas Pools, construction site, 1820 Lakewood Rd., Toms
River, N.J. - Employees engaged in roof truss installation
were exposed to injury from being struck by the collapsing
roof truss components in as much as the trusses were not
adequately stablized with temporary bracing.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct the hazard is to utilize the recommendations of theTruss
Plate Institute and Wood Truss Council of America contained on the
BCSI-B1 Summary Sheet Guide for Handling, Installing and Bracing of
Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses.d
