Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: The employer failed to ensure that places of employment were free from recognized hazards as follows: a.At The District construction site, an employee was observed standing on the guardrail system of a Skyjack scissor lift SJ111 3226 (#42900) without fall protection. The scissor lift was extended approximately 13 to 15 feet above the concrete surface. The employee was exposed to serious injuries. Reference: ANSI A92.5 - 1990 Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platform: Section 7.11.1 Personnel Footing: Personnel shall maintain a firm footing on the platform floor while working thereon. One feasible method of abatement, among others, would be to stand only on the work platform of the scissor lift.
