Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to emergency fire produced by overheat of differents merchandise, like cloth lamps, cartoon box, plastics.. that were close to turn on fluorescent lamps or near, 2-5 inches. Among others methods, one feasible and acceptable abatmenet method to correct this hazard is storage this merchandise 18 " or more from the light. Hazard: Burns or fracture in case of an emergency. a. Recibir lesiones o quemaduras debido a emergencia por fuego producida por sobrecalentamiento de variada mercancia, tales como lampareas de tela, cajas de carton, plasticos que estabanalmacenados , pedados o proximos (2-5") de lamparas fluorescentes encendidas. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este reisgo es almacenar esta mercancia separada unas 18" o mas de las lamparas fluorescentes encencidas. Riesgo: Quemaduras o fracturas en caso de emergencia.
