Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries, fractures or death due to mechanism failure manual mechanism hoist, trademark Milwaukee, 1 ton were used by the employee for handling human corpses. The hoist mechanism was not inspected. The hoist mechanism was located in embalming room. Among others methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to performed periodic inspections as defined in ANSI B30.16-1973,Sec 16- 2.2.1.3 a. Recibir lesiones,fracturas o muerte debido a falla de mecanismo manual de izar marca Milwaukee 1-ton donde era usado por empleado para manejar cadaveres. El mecanismo de izar no estaba inspeccionado. El mecanismo de izar estaba localizado en el cuarto de embalsamamiento. Entre otros metodos, un metodo y factible de corregir es realizar inspecciones periodicas segun se define en ANSI B30.16-1973, Sec 16-2.2.1.3

Employer Rodox Memorial, Inc. did not provide training to employees in the workplace, as required by the Act for the implementation of a Protocol to Handle Domestic Violence Situations in the Workplace an provided training to al employees. Information is available at the Women's Advocate Office. A guide for Employers: Domestic Violence in the Workplace and others references provided during the inspection. a. El patrono Rodox Memorial Inc.no proveyo adiestramiento a empleados para manejar violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo, como es requerido por la Ley para la Implementacion de un protocolo para manejar situaciones de Violencia en el lugar de Trabajo, Ley No. 217 de 2006 (para patronos privados y publicos, excepto municipios). Riesgo: Fatalidades, lesiones, y enfermedades relacionadas con violencia Domestica en el lugar de trabajo. Metodo para corregir el riesgo: Proveer adiestramiento para manejar violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo y proveer adiestramiento a todos los empleados. La informacion esta disponible en la Oficina de la Procuradora de las Mujeres. Una guia para Patronos: Violencia Domestica en el Lugar de Trabajo y otras referencias provistas durante la inspeccion.
