Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Receive serious injuries as freezing, due to absence of a device to open
the freezer door
from the inside the cooler(40 degrees aprox). Employees need to go inside
in the chicken
management and freezing. Among other methods, an acceptable and feasible
method of
correcting this hazard is installing a devise to open from inside in case
of emergency.
Recibir lesiones serias como el congelamiento, debido a la ausencia de un
aditamento en
la puerta del congelador para abrir la misma desde dentro hacia afuera (40
grados
aprox.).  Empleados necesitaban entrar al mismo para el manejo de los
pollos
congelados. Entre otros metodos, uno aceptable y posible para corregir
este riesgo es
instalarle un aditamento para abrir desde adentro hacia afuera del
congelador en caso de
emergencia.
