Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) An employee was observed standing on the forks of Gehl Dynalift DL-6L 40 rough terrain forklift which was elevated approximately 20 feet. Feasible and acceptable methods of abatement to correct this hazard include, but are not limited to the following: (1) Conform to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks, ASME B56.6-2002, an American National Standard. No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
