Title 40.1-51.1(a), Code of Virginia: Employer did not furnish employment, and a place of employment which were free of recognized hazards that were causing, or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: Employee(s) was exposed to fall hazards while performing job related duties when employee(s) was permitted to work from a wooden job made platform lifted by the forks of a Daewoo BC25S forklift. The Daewoo BC25S forklift should not be used to elevate personnel, unless using an approved safety cage. One feasible, and acceptable abatement method among others to correct this hazard is to comply with the sign posted in the operators compartment, and the owners manual which read: Do not raise anyone on the forks of your lift truck unless using an approved safety cage.y
