North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Ref: American National Standard (ANSI) ZB30.16-1981 para 16-1.2.9 and 16-2.1.1 a)facility, garage - employees using a hand operated Underhung Overhead hoist rated at 2 tons, and the hook latch was missing. b)facility, garage - employees using a hand operated Underhung Overhead hoist rated at 2 tons, and Frequent and Periodic inspections had not been conducted. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to conduct regular inspections of the hoist as required and repair any deficiencies noted.encies
