Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or about 04/29/07 Location:Area 50 in the Warehouse Condition:The Scienceware Emergency Eye Wash Station provided where employees add water to forklift batteries, but would not provide 15 minutes of continuous flush or hands- free operation. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install an eyewash that meets ANSI Z358.1-2004 standard requirements.
