Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: a) Standard Havens Plant, Drum Mixer Drier - Employees used the bucket of a front end loader to raise them approximately twelve feet in order to clear a material jam from a defective wrap collar. On or about 7/26/06. FEASIBLE MEANS OF ABATEMENT: 1) Provide a man lift for employees to use when they must obtain access to equipment at heights greater than four feet.
