employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm
to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall from elevation
hazard:
a)facility, resin plant - employer failed to ensure that employees were
protected
from a 4 feet, 6 inch fall hazard from standing on a wooden pallet
elevated by a
forklift.
Among other methods, the employer could abate the hazard by requiring
employees to use the designed forklift attachments for lifting large
containers.
If the employer found it necessary to elevate personnel by forklift, then
an
approved platform and adequate fall protection system could be utilized.n
