Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employement and a place of employement which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious harm to employee in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: Main Shop: An employee was observed operating the Hyster 60 forklift serial number C187VO2312N without wearing the installed seat belts. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to: Enforce the use of wearing seat belts while the forklift is being operated.
