Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a
place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely
to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
a)Outside second floor men's rest room:  An employee assisting in the
installation
of wiring through an existing soffit while on a six foot fiberglass ladder
was
standing on the top rung of the ladder when he lost his balance causing
him to fall
to the ground and receive injuries. On or about July 13, 2006
"AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO
CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS": To use a taller ladder where it is not necessary
to step on
the top rung in order to reach the work area.
PLEASE NOTE:  CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS
VIOLATION.
