by:
On or about 10/24/06, at Peters Road and University Dr., employees who
lacked high visibility
apparel were exposed to the hazard of being struck by moving vehicles
while cutting grass and
performing other landscape work in close proximity to vehicular traffic.
Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method to
correct this hazard
is to provide high visibility apparel to employees.
IN THE ALTERNATIVE 29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used
when
necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were
encountered:
On or about 10/24/06, the employer did not ensure that personal protective
equipment was used.
