Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or before 1/17/07, an employee operating a Crown Stockpicker was exposed to a fall hazard of 165 inches to the concrete floor below. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to wear a fall harness attached to the fall protection anchor on the stockpicker as required in the Crown Stockpicker Operators Manual. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
