Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about March 28, 2007, employees were not wear high visibility vest while working alongside Overseas Highway in Marathon, Florida. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard would be to: (a) Provide high visibility vests to employees when directing in high traffic areas. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
