Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to dust explosion, deflagration or other fire hazards due to the improper installation and use of the Grizzly dust collectors: a) Mill Area: Grizzly enclosureless dust collectors were connected to the mechanically fed Timesaver Speed Belt Sander, as observed on or about January 29, 2008. b) Mill Area: Grizzly enclosureless dust collectors were not separated from each other by at least 20 feet, as observed on or about January 29, 2008. c) Mill Area: Collected dust was not removed from the Grizzly enclosureless dust collectors daily or more frequently to ensure efficient operation, as observed on or about January 29, 2008. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW THE NFPA 664 REQUIREMENTS FOR ENCLOSURELESS DUST COLLECTION SYSTEMS. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW THE NFPA 664 AND THE MANUFACTURERS' INSTRUCTIONS FOR PNEUMATIC CONVEYANCE SYSTEMS. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
