Minn. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees: Periodic inspection and preventive maintenance procedures were not established for the automotive lifts. The lifts located in Bay 3 and 5 were not marked to show the manufacturer's name, rated load capacity, model, and serial number. Abatement Guidelines: Refer to American National Standards Institute Standard ANSI/ALI ALOIM Standard for Automotive Lifts - Safety Requirements for Operation, Inspection and Maintenance; and the manufacturer's recommendations. The ANSI standard contains additional detail, including checklist and forms for lift inspection and maintenance.ons.
