Bay one: The lift in bay one had the following deficiencies:
(a) Was not marked with lifting capacity.
(b) Was in need of repair and not taken out of service.
(c) No preventive maintenance procedures were established.
Abatement Note:
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would
be to follow the
requirements of ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2000 and/or ANSI B153.1 which includes,
among other
requirements, the following.
1. Ensure all lifts are marked with the rated capacity.
2. Remove any lift from service that is in need of repair.
3. Establish a preventive maintenance program.
