Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: The employer did not ensure that employees were protected from unsafe conditions as follows: a.At 2300 Pebble Rd. on the East side of the communications tower, one employee, using a Snorkel aerial lift serial #9700540297 at a height of approximately 60 feet, were observed standing and working from the top rail of the aerial lift platform. Reference: ANSI/SIA A92.5-1992, Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platforms. Section 8.10.1 Personal Footing: Personnel shall maintain firm footing on the platform floor while working therein. Use of planks, ladders, or any other devices on the aerial platform for achieving additional height or reach shall be prohibited. One method of abatement would be re-training of the employees in accordance with ANSI 92.5.
