Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in
that an employee
was exposed to struck by hazards:
(a)AJ Transport Inc. at 6615 Powell St., Loveland, CO 80538:  On March 8,
2007 the employer operated the Bobcat model 763 skid steer without training
or knowledge in its safe use in that the employer operated the skid steer
to
load it on a tow truck and allowed the employee to work under the raised
bucket.  This condition exposed the employee to a struck-by hazard.
Abatement Note:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable
abatement method to
correct this hazard is to read and understand the Operator's Handbook
which is located
behind the operators seat and obtain training prior to operating the skid
steer.
