North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to vehicular traffic: a)Keystone Business Complex parking lot and adjacent road ways Davis and Hopson Drive, Durham, NC - where employees were working on and within two feet of the road without the use of cones and work zone signs to inform vehicular traffic. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others, to correct this hazard is to install high visibility cones and traffic signs to warn vehicle traffic in the work area.
