Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by a front end loader: (a) Location - 1 Ballister Street, Wakefield, MA: On or about 10/24/2006, employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed or struck by the bucket of a Caterpillar 950 front end loader. Among other methods, feasible means of abatement include (1) The operator must satisfy himself that no one will be endangered before moving the vehicle. (2) Carry implements within the loader bucket close to the ground.
