On December 18, 2006, and times prior there to, employees were exposed to
Hydrogen Sulfide gas when the employer failed to locate the pressure
relief valve,
for the Amine Recovery Unit #4, in a safe location.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard
would be to remotely locate the relief valve to an area where there are no
employees. Reference, the American Petroleum Institute's Guide for
Pressure-
Relieving and Depressuring Systems, API 521, March 1997, paragraph 4.3.3.1.
