Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable means to correct the hazard is to follow the manufacturer's/owner manual recommendations for frequent and periodic inspection(s) of each type of hoist used, and/or to establish and follow a program of frequent and periodic inspection(s) of the hoists in accordance with ASME B30.16-2003, American Society of Mechanical Engineers for Overhead Hoists (Underhung), Section B30.16-2.1.5. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is completed and 29 CFR 1903.19(d) requires documentation demonstrating that abatement has been completed.
