Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Location - 16 Knox Trail, Acton, MA: On or about 03/12/2007, employees were exposed to being crushed by 3,600 lb precast concrete blocks, when a design wasn't implemented or used to prevent these blocks from falling. Among other methods, feasible means of abatement include (1) Prior to constructing a concrete block wall, have a competent person oversee the construction of the pre cast concrete wall as it states in ANSI A10.9 Safety Requirements for Precast Concrete.nts
