Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The

furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the hazard of being struck by falling loads and rail
system:
a)Plant #2, on or about 6/27/08:  The monorail system used to move laundry
bags through the facility was not rated as to the maximum weight capacity
and had not been provided with frequent inspections.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to
follow the requirements of ANSI B30.11, Monorails and Underhung Cranes,
section 11-1.3.5, section 11-2.1 and section 11-2.2.2.
Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
