Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: a.On or about March 27, 2007, at the Rocky Ridge Road worksite, Skytrak all- terrain forklift was used to lift a 30 foot personnel work platform. The width of the platform exceeded ANSI B56.1- 1993 design specifications. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard is: Use an approved platform or a platform designed by the Manufacturer in accordance with the All- Terrain Forklift operations manual.
