VERIFICATION REQUIRED
ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement
method
to correct this hazard is to comply with the National Fire Protection
(NFPA) 664, "Standard for
the Prevention of Fires and Explosions in Wood Processing and Woodworking
Facilities" (2007
Edition) as it applies to your operations and equipment including but not
limited to the
following:
*Locate and design hoods or enclosures such that the wood dust or
particulate
generated will fall, be projected, or be drawn into the hood(s) or
enclosure(s) so
as to minimize fugitive dust emissions without interfering with the safe
and
satisfactory operation of the machine in accordance with Section
8.2.2.3.1.
