Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazardous chemicals: Mud Engineer Trailer, southwest area of the workplace, the employer did not ensure employees engaged in titrating operations of the following hazardous chemicals, such as, but not limited to, Potassium Chromate, Sulfuric Acid were provided means to prevent pipetting by mouth. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method would be the use of squeeze bulb equipped pipette devices to conduct titration operations.
