P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazard(s): a)Employees at the entrance of Somersby subdivision, Pooler, Georgia, on or about August 11, 2009, were exposed to struck-by hazards from vehicular traffic while operating ride and push lawn mowers and string trimmers near the highway and on the subdivision's street entrance. FEASIBLE MEANS OF ABATEMENT: Ensure all employees are provided with reflective vests and have been instructed to utilize reflective vests while working within the rights of way of interstate highways, state roads,any other public road, and to implement a disciplinary program to ensure compliance. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.TION
