Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by falling loads: (a)On or about 05/09/2007 - Clean Room - All work stations to include Arc and Knock-off - Employees were exposed to struck-by falling loads where hooks were not equipped with safety latches and/or the latches were not operational. Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable method would be to replace the hooks with hooks equipped with safety latches and ensure they are operational.
