Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about May 29, 2008 at the worksite located in the intersection of Century Circle and Century Boulevard in Atlanta, Ga.: (a)Employees working in the intersection were exposed to being struck by vehicles traveling the roadway as signs and barricades were not provided to warn drivers that workers were present or to protect workers in the work area. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
