Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Facility, near loading dock (mattress storage area):An employee was raised on the forks of an industrial truck to heights of approximately 13 feet to retrieve mattresses for that were stacked up. The employee was exposed to the hazard of falling to the concrete floor below, on or about 12/04/2007. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable abatement method is to provide a safety cage or platform in accordance with ANSI B56.1-1975, Part III - Section 513, or equivalent.
