Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of a shock sensitive Class 4 oxidizer stored in quantities in excess of 10 pounds in an occupied building: a)61 Willet Street, Passaic, NJ: Approximately 30 drums of N,N- Dinitrosopentamethylene Tetramine was stored in the warehouse, on or about 01/11/2008. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to store the N,N-Dinitrosopentamethylene Tetramine in a detached storage building that meets the requirements of NFPA 430-2004.nts
