ABATEMENT NOTE:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method
to correct
this hazard is to equip hoist hooks with safety latches as described in
ANSI B30.16-2007 Section
16-1.2.9 (Hooks).  A latch shall be provided to bridge the throat opening
of the hook and retain,
under slack conditions, such items as, but not limited to, slings and
chains.
