Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to burns: On or about 06/12/2007, at the concession area, employees were not protected from burns while operating a popcorn machine. Among other means, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to instruct employees in the proper use of the popcorn machine, as identified in the operator's manual of the equipment. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
