Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a
place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to
cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall
hazard:
On or about 10/11/07, an employee working from the bucket attachment of a
Caterpillar Lull
was exposed to a fall hazard of 15-20 feet while removing snap-tie cones
from the west wall of
the building.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would
be to use an
aerial lift to gain access to the snap-tie cones.ie
